Louise/Paul
Thank you to you both for spear-heading such an amazing initiative. I really appreciate the hours that go in behind the scenes to set up, prepare for and run such an event- they are countless. The benefits for all and positive comments bear witness to the enormous encouragement and boost you have given to all those musicians of different ages and stages-what an achievement.
A chance for anyone, of any age, with any ability (they must be able to follow basic notation) and on any instrument to join others to make up an orchestra with proceeds going to the Help For Heroes charity.
The music (usually two or three fun pieces/medleys) will be emailed to you well before the orchestra meet up on the day when they rehearse and follow musical activities before performing a short concert open to family and friends.
GIAGO 3 is now done and a massive success. We managed to raise £824 for the Help For Heroes charity. See the GIAGO 3 page for more details
There is already talk of a GIAGO 4. Do visit the Facebook page to see more details as it develops and offer your thoughts on what we can play.
Yes! Imagine violins, clarinets and French horns making music with non conventional orchestral instruments such as recorders, saxophone or even accordions!
Primary school age players will need to be accompanied by an adult. The youngest to participate was 8 years old and the oldest well into retirement!
Provided you can follow basic notation for your instrument, you are welcome to join in. The music will be written especially for you at your level of playing.

The day is focused on fun in which the whole family can participate. Many attendees have not played an instrument for 20-30 years. Also many music teachers attend but sign up on an instrument they either have not played before or not played for some time.
Taken on a first come basis, non musical parents can sign up to help with percussion. Please note that places for this are limited,
